Allegheny Health Network Home Medical Equipment LLC and Allegheny Health Network Home Infusion LLC

Allegheny Health Network Home Medical Equipment LLC and Allegheny Home Infusion LLC (collectively the Covered Entity) reported that on November 19, 2024, it was informed by IntraSystems, LLC (the Business Associate), that it had been the victim of a ransomware incident that impacted the protected health information (PHI) of 292,773 individuals that receive services from the Covered Entity. The PHI may have included clinical, demographic and treatment information. The Covered Entity and Business Associate provided notification to HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the Covered Entity implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its sensitive data.
