OCR description
Advantage Capital Holdings LLC (A-CAP) reported on behalf of its subsidiaries Sentinel Security Life Insurance Company and Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company and their affiliates (collectively, the "Companies"), that the Companies experienced a ransomware incident that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 26,343 individuals. The PHI involved included clinical, demographic and other treatment information. A-CAP notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach and OCR’s investigation, A-CAP implemented additional technical safeguards, sanctioned its workforce members and retrained its workforce members.
